These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and participation in workshops, classes, studio sessions, and any related services provided by FirePetal Studio LTD (“FirePetal Studio”, “the Studio”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
By booking, attending, or participating in any session at FirePetal Studio, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
1. Nature of Activities & Inherent Risks
- FirePetal Studio provides hands-on lampwork glass workshops involving open flames, high temperatures, molten glass, specialised tools, and equipment.
- You acknowledge that glassworking activities carry inherent risks, including but not limited to burns, cuts, breakage of glass, heat exposure, and accidental injury.
- You voluntarily choose to participate with full knowledge of these risks.
2. Eligibility & Fitness to Participate
- You confirm that you are physically and mentally fit to participate in activities involving heat, flame, and manual handling.
- You must not participate if you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that may impair judgment, coordination, or reaction time.
- You agree to immediately inform staff if you feel dizzy, faint, nauseous, unwell, or unsafe at any point during the session.
- FirePetal Studio reserves the right to refuse or discontinue participation if staff believe it is unsafe for you to continue.
3. Safety Rules & Conduct
- You agree to follow all safety instructions, demonstrations, verbal guidance, written rules, and warnings provided by FirePetal Studio staff at all times.
- You must use tools, equipment, and materials only as instructed and for their intended purpose.
- You must not operate, adjust, or interfere with torches, gas controls, ventilation systems, or electrical equipment unless expressly authorised by staff.
- You acknowledge that tools and glass rods may remain extremely hot even when they do not appear so, and you agree to handle all materials with caution.
- FirePetal Studio reserves the right to immediately stop a session or remove a participant who fails to follow safety rules, without refund.
4. Personal Responsibility
- You are responsible for your own actions and conduct during the session.
- You agree to take reasonable care for your own safety and the safety of others.
- You acknowledge that failure to follow instructions or safety guidance may result in injury or damage.
5. Liability & Legal Limitations
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, as required under UK law.

Subject to clause 5.1, FirePetal Studio shall not be liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from:
- Failure to follow safety instructions
- Misuse of tools or equipment
- Actions taken contrary to staff guidance
- Voluntary participation in risky behaviour
- FirePetal Studio is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings brought into the studio.
6. Bookings, Cancellations & Attendance
- All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
- Cancellation, rescheduling, and refund policies will be communicated at the time of booking and may vary depending on the workshop or service.
- Late arrival may result in reduced session time or refusal to participate, for safety reasons.
7. Intellectual Property
- All teaching methods, demonstrations, designs, tutorials, videos, and written materials provided by FirePetal Studio remain the intellectual property of FirePetal Studio LTD.
- Participants retain ownership of the glass pieces they personally create during the session, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
8. Termination of Participation

FirePetal Studio reserves the right to refuse service, suspend, or terminate participation without refund if:
- Safety rules are ignored
- Behaviour is disruptive or unsafe
- Instructions are repeatedly not followed
9. Privacy & Data Protection
- Personal data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR requirements.
- By participating, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
- These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
- Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Acceptance
By booking or participating in a session at FirePetal Studio, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Use.
